December! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Oh, December. How I both hate and love thee. Christmas is a joyous time with a lot of fond memories, but brings with it snow and bitter cold, as I live in the Great White North.

Anyway~! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Heri za Kwanzaa! Hanukkah Sameach! γ‚―γƒ―γƒ³γ‚ΆγŠγ‚γ§γ¨γ†οΌεœ£θ―žθŠ‚εΏ«δΉ! So on and so forth!

  1. December was kicked off with a bang for us. Lots of stress and annoyances this month, but we're going to try to make the best of it.
  2. The majority of the first portion of December was spent continue to play test. Obviously my testers have lives, so I can't constantly harass them to test when they have day jobs. Hopefully we're able to get everything ready for a release for January, and I'm hoping with my most recent round of fixes, that I'm finally done!
  3. A good portion of my month was spent buying gifts, wrapping gifts, cleaning my house (because with bug testing and other projects and work I have about 6 weeks of household laundry that needs to be done that I'm not denying or admitting the existence of hahaha), and just in general preparing for the expensive holiday that plagues this time of year. Not too much was done at the time of writing, mostly some script adjustments to a flaw I found where the trigger for checking if the players inventory was full wasn't working and it was allowing the player to continue to spend all their money despite not getting the items because... well their inventory was full. So that was fixed. This entire month I have subsisted off of sugar free energy drinks and bologna sandwiches for the sake of ease, so I'm prepared to overstuff on other food for the holidays!
  4. Close to Christmas, my testers got back to me to let me know that issues with the save system/new game system were persisting, even though I thought I'd moved past that, so I sent forth for my own extensive testing yet again and hope that this is the last time. I'm covering a special shift at work, so I had plenty of time to sneakily work on this, because it was dead since it's so close to the holidays (funny how everything works when it is the holidays, but breaks when it isn't)
  5. I did some editing for the game trailer and finished the 2nd video devlog. The two videos are set to release simultaneously just due to the nature of the devlog, so once the final play testing has completed it should be good to release the demo. Then I can continue with doing other parts of the development since all key gameplay aspects will have been completed. I'm getting more and more excited the closer we get!
  6. I forgot to actually release this rather small devlog in December! Oops! Happy new Year!
